Who we are

GrowthPilot GEO is operated by GrowthPartnerSEO-AI. We provide SEO and Generative Engine Optimization tools for Shopify merchants. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What data we collect

From the Shopify Admin API

When you install GrowthPilot GEO, we access:

  • Product data — titles, descriptions, images, handles, meta fields, tags, and pricing (used for SEO analysis and AI optimization)
  • Collection data — titles, descriptions, and product associations (used for structured data generation)
  • Store metadata — shop name, domain, and plan information (used for app functionality and billing)

Data you provide directly

  • Brand description and target keywords (for AI prompt context)
  • Tone of voice preferences
  • Automation settings (score thresholds, auto-apply preferences)

What we do NOT collect

  • Customer personal information (names, emails, addresses)
  • Payment or financial data
  • Browsing behavior or analytics from your storefront visitors
  • Order or transaction details

How we use your data

  • SEO analysis — Product content is analyzed locally to generate SEO scores across 11 checks
  • GEO auditing — Store data is evaluated for AI search readiness across 5 checks
  • AI content generation — Product titles, descriptions, and meta tags are sent to the Anthropic Claude API to generate optimized alternatives. Anthropic does not use this data for training. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
  • llms.txt generation — Product catalog data is used to generate AI-readable files served from your storefront domain
  • Billing — Plan and usage data is used to enforce subscription limits and track AI optimization quotas

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in an encrypted PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway (US-based infrastructure). Data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties except Anthropic for AI content generation as described above.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as the app is installed on your store. When you uninstall GrowthPilot GEO, we receive a webhook from Shopify and delete your session data immediately. Within 48 hours of uninstallation, Shopify sends a shop redaction request and we delete all remaining store data, including scan results, AI suggestions, GEO reports, and automation records.

Your rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of all data we hold about your store
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion — request deletion of your data at any time (or uninstall the app)
  • Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Restriction — request that we limit processing of your data

Cookies and tracking

GrowthPilot GEO does not set cookies on your storefront or track your customers. Within the Shopify admin, we use Shopify's session token authentication. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking scripts.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app interface. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
